I can't believe the summer's almost over. And people are talking about Halloween already! At least Nick Chekov is. But I also saw some Halloween decorations at the craft store the other day. I feel like we complain about these things a lot. "They're making school supply ads already!" "There are Christmas commercials already!" But this makes sense. There aren't any holidays between now and Halloween except Labor Day, and that's not really a decorating holiday. Labor Day's when people are supposed to close their pools for the year...this is reminding me that I haven't been in a pool all year! Not even the one at the apartment building. I should fix that before it's too late.

I just got back from a long dig near the coast. It was really great! We found a lot of pottery and other things that Indiana Jones would probably say belonged in a museum, hehe.

Laura: I heard something about a stranger sleeping on our couch when I was gone? Is this true??

Oh my gosh. Look at this necklace. It costs 168 dollars and it's literally made out of paper clips and electrical tape. I can't believe Anthropologie is actually selling this! I guess it's supposed to be "art" according to them, but it's like a joke! I don't understand how anyone could buy this kind of thing. I feel bad for the people who wrote those reviews. Especially that last review, because that girl sounds like she's trying to convince herself she made the right choice buying this thing.

I dragged my dad to see Tangled with me yesterday (I still remember the first time we saw The Little Mermaid, dad!) and oooooooooh my gosh that movie is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I don't want a chipmunk anymore. I want a sassy little pet chameleon that will sit on my shoulder and turn red when it thinks I'm being threatened. :D :D :D

I still feel weird about my dad dating that yoga instructor. It's something that's going to take a lot of time to get used to. I think he's going to try and invite him to Thanksgiving dinner. So weird! It's been a long time but I still miss our old family dinners, with dad and mom and everyone else. I guess I just need to grow up.

I can't believe Halloween is just a week and a half away! Anyone know anything about any cool parties?? :) :)

Laura's cool and her place is nice. And living alone is kind of lonely. Should I be her roommate?
